Application Hunter (ignore the other thread) Empty
PostSubject: Application Hunter (ignore the other thread)   Application Hunter (ignore the other thread) EmptySat Apr 23, 2011 3:26 pm

Ok, just let me start by apologizing for double-posting, but I could not find a delete/edit buttom.

Name: Caspar Johannessen Åsheim

Class: Preferably hunter, but I do have a decent geared warrior too.

Spec: MM

What is your experience with your offspec, and are you willing to play that in some raids should the guild require it to get the perfect setup for harder content?:
I can play both survival and MM as good as each other, though I'm not a fan of BM. If it is required I can change my MM PVP spec to survival PVE. As for my warrior its fury/prot, but I'm much more experienced as fury, never done any progress runs as prot.

In regards to gear, are you willing to have your current gear maxed out in the way of gemming and enchanting, even if it is not the BiS piece?
Of course, gear should always be top-notch when you're in a raiding guild.

Professions, and why did you take these?:
Skinning (525), Leatherworking (525). I took those many years ago, because a friend of mine told me it was the best professions to have. So I put my faith in him and choose those.
And since they are not bad for raiding at all, I see no reason to change them.

Why are you applying to Revenant?:
Because my current guild is not raiding and I already know a few people here in Revenant.

Is there anyone in Revenant who can vouch for you?:
I would assume Snotling and Dagorath would vouch for me.

Previous guild(s), and why you were kicked, or why you left:
Been in many guilds, some are worth mentioning some aren't. But to mention the most recent ones - Volturius Industrius, which I joined back in Cataclysm when ICC was newly released, was raiding ICC with them for a while, but when Cataclysm came, the guild crashed and burned and at the very last point we were only seven raiders left, bound from glory. So I decided to apply for You Are Fired (despite the fact that I'm not Swedish) and I got accepted. I raided with them for a weeks before things started to decline and the guild is now currently inactive until further notice. And that has brought me here to you.

What raiding experience you have, be as detailed as possible:
Been raiding since vanilla, and we as far as Ouro, but we spent a month or so wiping on him before we just gave up. Never sat my foot in Naxx. In TBC I didn't raid much in the start, too fascinated by the innovating PVP-system, the arena. Though I started gearing up in patch 2.0 (I think) so I would be ready to raid when BT came, so I cleared all content post-patch and geared myself up for BT. Due to my lack on experience in TBC, it was not easy getting into a decent guild, but after some time searching I found myself a OK one, we never got past the Illidari Council. Spent some time wiping in Sunwell, but we did not down a boss. In WoTLK I cleared everything, though Ulduar and ToC weren't cleared in the in the current patch because I had a break from WoW just after Ulduar realize till ICC came. Did do Naxx, OS and EoE before I took a break. In ICC we did 12/12, including like Marrowgar, Gunship, Festergut, Rotface and Queen on HC.

2/4 BoT (Valiona and Chogall(, 5/6 BWD, 1/2 TO4W.

What kind of PC and connection do you have? (average FPS and MS in raids?):
My PC runs around 40-50 fps in raids, which is decent enough and my connection is a 10mbit.

Our current raid nights are Thursday, Sunday and Tuesday, will you be able to attend most, or all of these nights?:
Most weeks I will be able to attend all, but not always Thursday as that day can sometimes be a little bit tricky for me.

Do you speak and understand English clearly, as this will be the language used to communicate in the raids?:
Even though English is not my native language, I consider my English to be fluent.

Can you handle constructive critisism and do you use this to improve your general performance?:
Of course, without critisism and tips there is no way of improving. As long as it's not downright nerdrage and rude, I have no problem to take critisism.

Link to a screenshot of your UI:
Pretty basic UI, can't be assed the fancy one anymore. Basically just xperl and the required addons for raiding.

Tell us something about yourself, this is the first impression we get of you, so take this as a good opportunity to make your application shine.
I guess I can start off with the most basic. My name is Caspar, live in Bergen, Norway, I'm 20 years old and currently I study physics and math. In August I'm going to start study information-science at the University in Bergen. Apart from the WoW, I like to play fotball (atleast in summer-times), play Black Ops and I defintately like to enjoy the great nightlife for students in Bergen on weekends. And, uhm, been playing WoW since 2004, and we used to run home in the middle of a schoolday play WoW and farm High Warlord (which I never got, only got Centurion). Luckily I wasn't so much addicted when I started High School and my great were surprisingly not that great despite the fact I played more WoW then I went to school. Well, in danger of making you all demotivated of reading a wall of text, I'm going to stop here and I hope for a good response from you.
Later.

Nice app and I like the old school experience. Ouro was a bitch indeed until you get the hang of it.

The only issue I can see is that we would then have up to 3 active hunters in the guild and only 2x10 raids (the first raid spot is an officer too). However if this does not bother you then I would say yes to the app, so long as our hunter class leader says your setup is correct.

Apply denied, too many things you don't have right.
